Summary

Coalfire is hiring a Technical Senior Manager to support their Cloud Services team. The candidate will serve as a solution architect and technical lead for client projects, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, manage teams of engineers, and work with other departments. They should have experience managing teams, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and 3-5 years of experience supporting AWS, Azure, or GCP. Bonus points are given for previous experience mentoring or managing consultants, cloud-based networking experience, and familiarity with certain frameworks and configuration baseline standards.

Requirements

  • Experience managing teams of 4-8 individuals
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective documentation skills, to include technical diagrams and written descriptions
  • Professional attitude and demeanor
  • 3-5 years directly supporting at least one of the following cloud IaaS providers: AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Experience with orchestration and automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible
  • Critical thinking, and ability to balance security requirements with mission needs
  • Exampled relationship management and ability to work with C-Suite
  • Project management experience for individual and team projects (ability to track detailed tasks and ensure timely delivery)
  • Ability to work quickly, efficiently and accurately in a dynamic and fluid environment
  • BS or above in related Information Technology field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Solution Architect and technical lead for client projects
  • Support thought leadership activities (blog/white papers/webinars)
  • Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with key client stakeholders
  • People manager for multiple engineers
  • Work with other departments to determine technical and compliance solutions and implementations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience mentoring or managing consultants or engineers in a professional services organization
  • Cloud-based networking experience (Palo Alto, Cisco ASAv, etc.…)
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as FedRAMP, FISMA, SOC, HITRUST, etc
  • Familiarity with configuration baseline standards such as CIS Benchmarks & DISA STIG
