Summary
Join the DNC Technology department's Summer 2025 Internship Program for a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Democratic political technology. This Data & Analytics internship runs from May 26th to August 1st, 2025, and offers a $3,000 stipend. Interns will work 20 hours per week and can choose between in-person, hybrid, or remote work formats. The program includes opportunities for professional development, networking, and assisting with DNC operations. Applicants must be US-based and meet specific eligibility criteria, including age and educational background. The application deadline is April 11th, 2025.
Requirements
- Be 18 years of age on or before the first day of the internship
- Meet at least one of the following criteria: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at a college, community college, or university (two-to-four year institution); Graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program at a college, community college, or university (two-to-four year institution) no more than two years before the first day of the internship; A veteran of the United States Armed Forces who possesses a high school diploma or its equivalent and has served on active duty, for any length of time, in the two years preceding the first day of the internship

Responsibilities
- Work on a project or projects designed to support the work of the overall Tech team and your own skills and experience
- Build your skills as a technology professional, in either data or security
- Participate in team meetings and work closely with mentor(s)
- Work on a variety of additional tasks relevant to the team youβre interning with
- Assist the DNC Operations team by attending weekly phone shifts and any mandatory onboarding/offboarding sessions
- Participate in grassroots organizing
- Assist at DNC functions
- Receive personal development training
- Network with DNC leadership and staff
Preferred Qualifications
- Have completed at least a semester, ideally two semesters, of computer programming-related courses, OR have equivalent experience
- Have done some computer programming or data manipulation/analysis previously
- Have familiarity with programming or spreadsheet software including Excel or Google Sheets
- Have previous experience in politics, e.g. using Votebuilder, or volunteering for a Democratic campaign
