Join Embedded Medical as a Telemedicine Medical Provider and contribute to a rapidly growing AI-powered healthcare company revolutionizing GLP-1 medication access. This part-time, remote contractor role involves conducting asynchronous and synchronous telemedicine consultations, primarily focusing on GLP-1s and Schedule III medications. You will collaborate closely with the Clinical Ops Lead and Physician President to refine clinical protocols and systems. The ideal candidate possesses an active, unrestricted medical license in at least 15 US states and is comfortable prescribing compounded medications. Requirements
- Work at least 20 hours/week
- Have an active, unrestricted license in β₯15 US states
- Be comfortable prescribing compounded medications, including compounded semaglutide/tirzepatide
- Be comfortable with an async approach in telemedicine
- Be onboard with safely-practiced, compliant, low-touch patient-centric (not provider-centric) care
- Align with a biology-first approach, understanding your role is to safely prescribe high-efficacy GLP-1s to your patients
- Be comfortable writing prescriptions for Schedule III controlled substances like TRT under a streamlined synchronous protocol
Responsibilities
- Conduct async telemedicine consultations: Asynchronously review necessary information (labwork, medical form, identity verification) in our system, ensuring youβre comfortable prescribing a GLP-1 for a patient. Let our care team know if you need further information, or if a patient is not a good fit
- Conduct streamlined sync telemedicine consultations: Have streamlined synchronous consultations with fellas to prescribe Schedule III medications (e.g., TRT)
- Iterate our clinical protocols: Work closely with our Ops Lead & Physician President to provide feedback on our clinical protocols
- Improve our clinical systems: Work closely with our Ops Lead to provide feedback for our systems to improve your workflow
Preferred Qualifications
- Have 1+ years working in high-paced, consumer-centric telemedicine
- Have 1+ years treating patients with obesity using GLP-1s (and maybe other medications)
- Have a certification in Obesity Medicine, Menβs Health, or a closely related area
- Have an advanced degree which gives you a powerful clinical understanding
