Summary

Join Upstream Rehabilitation as a Territory Clinical Excellence Leader (TCEL) to champion clinical excellence across your territory. You will ensure high-quality care delivery, leverage data to improve clinical outcomes, and lead educational and mentoring programs. The role involves fostering research through academic partnerships, representing Upstream externally, and supporting the performance of Regional Clinical Excellence Coordinators (RCECs). You will develop and deliver educational initiatives, collaborate with clinicians on research, and maintain strong relationships with universities. Regular reporting on territory performance and collaboration with leadership are key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • A degree from a CAPTE-accredited university required; Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of clinical experience required with a proven track record of clinical and professional development
  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge
  • Excellent leadership abilities including time management, organizational skills, effective communication skills to both leadership and clinicians, effective reporting skills and an understanding and alignment with the company values and mission
  • Excellent teaching skills with the ability to teach, train and inspire a wide range of clinicians from entry level to experienced senior master clinicians
  • Demonstrates clear understanding of current advances and evidence in physical therapy practice
  • Exceptional communication skills โ€“ oral, written and presentations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all educational offerings and clinical quality initiatives are being delivered across their territory, including but not limited to: On-boarding for clinical staff, Student Grand Rounds, New Hire Tutorials, New Hire Bootcamp, Clinical Mentoring
  • Ensures that Upstream tutorial curriculum is being taught consistently and effectively across the territory, in terms of content, delivery, and impact
  • Assists with identifying, hiring, and training new RCECs within defined region; leading key initiatives and programs necessary for developing RCECs into effective leaders
  • Develops and delivers educational initiatives within their region, including masterclasses and special projects; trains RCECโ€™s to deliver this education and evaluate effectiveness of initiatives
  • Ensures the territory is performing above national averages with outcome measures; fosters a culture of diligence in outcome measure utilization through regular reporting, intervention and education opportunities
  • Assists in developing and strengthening ties with universities to elevate Upstream Rehabilitationโ€™s profile among therapy students and ensure the volume and quality of student affiliations convert into new graduate recruitment, to include guest lecturing, facilitating or leading special events, and overseeing/ deploying RCECโ€™s to such events
  • Holds regular meetings and communication with clinical leadership to report on the status of clinical quality, to strategize and prioritize interventions including deployment and activity of the RCECโ€™s, and to integrate operational needs with Clinical Quality strategy
  • Collaborates with clinicians to cultivate and support research in their territory and supports the expansion of career tracks: Clinical Excellence, Research, Teaching, Leadership and Advocacy
  • Holds regular meetings with VPCQ, fellow TCELโ€™s and other leaders in the organization to integrate company-wide policy and strategy with Clinical Quality initiatives; fosters trust and confidence within Clinical Excellence Department and Operations Leadership
  • Provides regular reporting on performance of territory and status of initiatives to CCO, VPCQ and other leaders
  • Fulfills obligations expected of all Upstream Rehabilitation associates with Compliance, Human Resource, timely communication, and all company policies
  • May carry a clinical case load, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • ABPTS Board Certification in Orthopedics (OCS), FAAOMPT, and/or Certification in Orthopedics, Manual Therapy preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in multi-unit management within Upstream preferred
