Test Automation Engineer

Summary

Join Delta Capita as a skilled Test Automation Engineer to drive quality assurance across agile projects. You will be responsible for reviewing requirements, designing test strategies, automating test cases, and ensuring robust test coverage throughout the software development lifecycle. This role requires strong collaboration, attention to detail, and a passion for continuous improvement. You will embrace Agile principles and Scrum, delivering assigned projects from inception to completion. The position offers hybrid and remote working options and is based in Wrexham/Poland/Dublin. Requirements

• Experience with Selenium\Playwright and Java\JavaScript\TypeScript\Python
• Experience with Test Management software
• Defect management tools (i.e. JIRA)
• Understanding of current technologies, Software Test Life Cycle (STLC), Agile/Scrum Development methodologies
• Behaviour Driven Development (BDD)
• Testing RESTful APIs (using Postman or other)

Responsibilities

• Review requirements (functional and non-functional) and design specifications, which may include interacting with subject matter experts to understand requirements, processes, and metrics, to ensure appropriate test coverage. Highlight any issues discovered during the review process
• Identify and communicate test plan / cases to automate based on automation framework and approach
• Create and execute test scenarios and test cases, maintaining requirements traceability
• Conduct formal test case review sessions and incorporate feedback
• Identify test data requirements. Communicate test data requirements early; working with team to ensure test data will be available prior to test phase commencement
• Execute testing according to the guidelines detailed in test strategy and test plan
• Evaluate deviations from expected results to determine risk, impact, and priority of defects
• Concisely document defects, ensuring the test steps are repeatable for replication of defects
• Identify and track issues, risks, and action items
• Participate in daily stand-ups, escalating issues as appropriate
• Work with vendors, global team, and local team to address any defects
• Produce test result metrics and reporting to track test progress and quality effectiveness
• Strong time management, prioritization, and organizations skills
• Identify potential process improvements

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS exposure, or other cloud development frameworks
• Experience in Load-Testing (LoadRunner / JMeter or other)
• Secure Development (OWASP/CIS/SANS/Mitre)
• Structured Products / Cross-Asset class products
