Remote Test Automation Engineer

Requirements

• Independent work, high willingness and interest in learning about technical systems and existing test documentation - good test planning knowledge and experience
• Confident SQL knowledge - understanding of technical IT concepts
• Experience with karate testing framework
• Programming experience, Unix knowledge
• Confident German language skills in speech and writing
• 3-5 years of experience in test automation engineering

Responsibilities

• Create and execute test cases using SQL knowledge
• Create, test, and execute test cases in a technically complex system with multiple interfaces (including modern service architecture and PostgreSQL)
• Work with databases and an inherited system, including several Oracle databases
• Create manual test case descriptions in Octaneo, execute and document manual testing in Octaneo, and create test data
• Create, execute, and evaluate complex SQL queries (Oracle database) within tests
• Create, execute, and evaluate service architecture (Swagger)
• Create, execute, and evaluate SQL queries (PostgreSQL database) within tests for test automation (karate)
• Reproduce and initial analysis of errors as a basis for troubleshooting with developers
• Discuss errors with the expert team (client)
• Support clients with tests, set up test data, and start internal system processes, discuss tests from a technical perspective
• Documentation in the field of quality assurance
