Automation Test Engineer (API Testing)

Summary

The job is for an experienced API Automation Tester to work in a tech team serving South-East Asia. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining API automation testing frameworks, performing various types of testing, collaborating with the development team, and participating in code reviews and test documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in automation testing, especially in API testing
• Proficiency in common API testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Postman, JMeter, REST Assured)
• Programming skills with proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript)
• Understanding of RESTful API architecture and HTTP protocols
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Intermediate English proficiency for reading technical documents and basic communication
• Fluent in Chinese and capable of working in Taiwan

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain API automation testing frameworks and test scripts
• Perform API functional, performance, and security testing
• Analyze test results, identify and report system defects
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure software quality and reliability
• Continuously optimize testing processes and tools
• Participate in code reviews and test documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails framework
• Experience with CI/CD
