Summary
Join Vultr as a Test Automation Engineer and contribute to the development and maintenance of UI and API tests. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure reliability and scalability. This role requires expertise in Python, Javascript, Selenium, Gitlab CI, and Grafana. You will be responsible for writing efficient and maintainable tests, maintaining existing tests, and producing high-quality test plans. Requirements
- Experience in writing automated tests using Python (Selenium)
- Familiarity with running tests through Gitlab CI
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and knowledge of cloud-based services
- Proficiency with observability tools such as Grafana for monitoring and reporting test failures
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to address complex automation challenges
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work cross-functionally with teams and stakeholders
- A commitment to continuous learning and fostering a culture of technical excellence
Responsibilities
- Test Automation Development: Write efficient and maintainable UI and API tests, including thorough documentation and test reporting to ensure transparency and reproducibility of test results
- Test Automation Maintenance: Maintain existing tests to ensure continued support for the ways customers use our services
- Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering teams to align development efforts with reliability, scalability, and business objectives
- Documentation: Produce high-quality test plans for APIs, systems, and processes to ensure stability, speed, and scalability
- Mentorship: Share knowledge with team members, helping to grow expertise in test automation best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes or other similar technologies
- Familiarity with Database as a Service (DBaaS)
- Knowledge of cloud-based storage solutions
