Test Automation - Performance Engineer

Summary

Join Encora as a Test Automation Performance Engineer in Brazil and work remotely. Collaborate with engineers and leadership to define performance testing requirements for systems and platforms. Based on daily team interaction, you will develop test strategies and cases, ensuring software quality by adhering to established Quality Group procedures. You will create custom tools and frameworks for performance test automation, architect strategic testing solutions, and identify process bottlenecks for improvement. This role requires proven software development experience with Python, testing experience, and proficiency in various tools and technologies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a software developer with Python
• Experience with testing (manual or automation)
• Ability to work as part of a Scrum team
• Experience in Redline or JMeter
• Explore and understand a portal (ex: a simple shopping site)
• Analyze front-end API calls (using Dev Tools) for the complete user experience (login, checkout, logout)
• Code/Create JMeter script using the API calls for the complete user experience (login, checkout, logout)
• Parametrize the JMeter script
• Scale the JMeter script to more users/threads
• Experience in testing frameworks like Pytest, Selenium
• Experience with automation testing of UI features using Selenium Webdriver
• Good knowledge and experience in version control tools like git
• Experience in automating tests in CI/CD
• Experience in RESTful API testing using Postman or Katalon or JMeter
• Proficient in SQL queries and hands-on exposure to various databases

Responsibilities

• Create custom tools and frameworks to support performance test automation, using modern development and test automation frameworks as needed
• Feel comfortable architecting strategic solutions for overall testing efforts
• Identify quality assurance process bottlenecks and suggest actions for improvement
• Following guidelines set from the quality group, ensuring that all steps in quality are being followed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Project Management tools like Jira, Rally, ServiceNow
• Knowledge/Exposure to AWS tools like: Lambdas, DynamoDB, Step Functions, S3
• Knowledge of test methodologies and their corresponding tools (e.x., SIPp, JMeter, Gatling, k6)
• Experience with testing and delivering SaaS products
• Able to connect best practices with the daily activities
