Test Engineer

Summary

CrossFit is seeking a Test Engineer to join their technology team, focusing on expanding test automation capabilities and assisting in executing test plans. The role requires 5+ years of experience in testing, proficiency with open-source automation tools, and a BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in testing, including both manual and automated tests
• Proficiency with open-source automation tools, such as Robot Framework, Playwright, Appium, Cypress, Selenium, or other appropriate test automation frameworks
• Ability to efficiently read software design and code to develop comprehensive test cases and anticipate potential faults
• Proficiency writing and maintaining automation code, libraries, and frameworks in Python and/or JavaScript
• Capability to troubleshoot software issues in order to identify the source, whether it be in the test or application code, or a specific component
• Detail-oriented with strong organization and structured thinking capabilities
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Define and implement test automation tools and strategies to enhance the quality and dependability of CrossFit’s products
• Participate as an integral member of an agile software development team, promoting quality throughout the entire software development lifecycle via automated and manual tests
• Assist in defining and setting up testing environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and test data management for consistent environments across various deployment phases
• Elevate the overall team by promoting and exemplifying sound development practices, such as design sessions, code reviews, and documentation
• Maintain standards for application testing, issue tracking, and issue reporting
