Test Technician

Summary

Join SpaceX as a Test Technician (Starlink) and contribute to providing broadband access to underserved people worldwide. In this role, you will work on cutting-edge propulsion, radio, laser, and power hardware and the production machine that builds it.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 1+ years of experience in electromechanical assembly

Responsibilities

• Build high-quality wire harnesses, PCBAs, test racks, robotics, and environmental simulation equipment
• Support production and qualification by troubleshooting hardware and software, updating documentation, training line technicians, and performing schedule maintenance
• Manage workload in order to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and respond to critical requests
• Interpret a variety of sources ranging from controlled, released documentation to informal sketches
• Identify design gaps; ask directed questions, and apply skill and experience to resolve them, and update documentation to prevent recurrence
• Maintain clean, stocked, and orderly work area

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree
• 3+ years of experience with hardware testing
• Hands-on experience fabricating and debugging harnesses, electro-mechanical assemblies, printed circuit board assemblies, and test stations
