Translator - Korean

Summary

Join Testronic Translation Department as an English-to-Korean translator for video games, game updates, and marketing materials. Translate full game titles (sometimes collaboratively) and ensure high-quality text through proofreading and editing. You will need to be a native or near-native Korean speaker with a passion for language and cultural nuances, fluent in English, and possess at least six months of translation experience. Freelance registration and invoicing capabilities are required. This is a remote, project-based freelance position with competitive rates, operating within the CET time zone. Experience in the gaming or filming industry is a plus. We offer a casual and supportive work environment and provide necessary CAT tools.

Requirements

• A Native speaker or native related of Korean who is also a language enthusiast, passionate about linguistic and cultural nuances
• Fluent knowledge of English
• Minimum 6 months of translation experience
• Freelance registration and ability to provide invoices

Responsibilities

• Translate video games both full-titles (sometimes shared with other translators) and game updates
• Additionally, translate marketing texts and materials from our clients and you would be responsible for translating them
• Proofread and edit other translators’ work to ensure the text is of the best quality

Preferred Qualifications

Translation experience in the gaming/filming industry will be beneficial
