Trust And Safety Manager

Summary

Join Vercel's Trust & Safety team as a User Policy Senior Manager! You will modernize internal policies and workflows, manage escalations, represent the team in company-wide incidents, collaborate with other teams on policy implementation, build external documentation, and engage in external communications as needed. This role requires experience in policy management, incident management, and working with Abuse Operations teams. Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in policy or user policy management (researching, writing, and implementing change) at a webhosting-based business
• 2+ years in incident management and policy escalations
• Experience with user restriction systems and setting, tracking, and using KPIs to understand and optimize policy/operations outcomes
• Experience working with an Abuse Operations team
• Understands current and upcoming regulatory systems that apply to Trust & Safety work

Responsibilities

• Modernize our current internal trust & safety policies, workflows, and implementation to match Vercel’s current and future needs
• Run Trust & Safety’s policy escalations program to solve edge cases and create answers to new questions (from the Abuse Operations team and in general)
• Represent Trust & Safety in company-wide incidents & escalations and create coverage (with the rest of the Trust & Safety team)
• Pair with the T&S team and the Abuse Operations team to implement policy in Abuse Operations workflows to industry-best levels; training and workflow evaluation
• Build out Vercel’s external acceptable use policy and user-facing documentation
• As needed, be able to represent Vercel in external Trust & Safety communications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in risk mitigation, conflict resolution, or product policy
• Understanding of geo-politics related to trust & safety issues
• Familiarity with SQL and creating SQL queries
• Experience with production ML systems, ticketing systems, and ticket labelling
• Experience with elections/misinformation
