UI/UX Designer

Summary

Join our team as a creative and detail-oriented UI/UX Designer! You will design visually engaging and user-friendly websites, collaborating with development and marketing teams. This fully remote, mid-shift (1 PM - 10 PM) position requires 3-5+ years of experience. Responsibilities include web design and development, UX/UI design, collaboration with various teams, content management, quality assurance, and web analytics. A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required, along with proficiency in design software and a strong understanding of web technologies.

Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Interactive Media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Have 3-5+ years of experience as a UI/UX Designer or in a similar role with a strong portfolio of web design projects
• Demonstrate proven experience designing responsive websites that are visually appealing and function across devices and browsers
• Show proficiency in web design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) or other design tools (Figma, Sketch, etc.)
• Possess a strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers
• Have knowledge of web accessibility standards and SEO best practices
• Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present design concepts clearly
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a passion for creating beautiful and functional designs
• Have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Possess strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking
• Have the ability to accept and incorporate feedback into design revisions

Responsibilities

• Create visually appealing and responsive web designs that deliver a seamless user experience across different devices (desktop, mobile, tablet)
• Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts to clients and stakeholders
• Design and implement website layouts, page structures, and navigation that align with user goals and business objectives
• Maintain consistent design standards throughout websites, ensuring brand consistency, typography, and color schemes
• Optimize website elements for improved load times, accessibility, and performance across various web browsers
• Apply UX best practices to ensure websites are easy to navigate, intuitive, and accessible to all users
• Focus on creating engaging UI designs that enhance usability and user satisfaction
• Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to refine design elements and improve overall user experience
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure that design elements are implemented correctly and function smoothly
• Stay up-to-date with current design trends, tools, and best practices to ensure designs remain modern and competitive
• Work closely with web developers to ensure design compatibility with various web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Collaborate with marketing teams to understand branding, target audiences, and content goals to inform design decisions
• Communicate design concepts and present ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Coordinate with content creators to ensure that the visual design aligns with content strategies and enhances the message
• Assist in the creation of digital content, including images, banners, videos, and animations, for use on websites and other digital platforms
• Organize and update web content and ensure that it is optimized for search engines (SEO)
• Implement content updates and make adjustments to website layouts as needed based on feedback or business needs
• Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent functionality and appearance
• Troubleshoot and resolve design issues related to site layout, formatting, or performance
• Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards and are compliant with web regulations and guidelines (e.g., WCAG, ADA)
• Monitor website performance metrics and use tools like Google Analytics to track user behavior and engagement
• Analyze data to identify areas of improvement and optimize design for better user engagement and conversion rates
• Provide recommendations to enhance website design based on analytics insights

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal
• Have familiarity with web development frameworks and libraries (Bootstrap, React, etc.)
• Have experience in creating web animations and using tools like Adobe Animate or After Effects
