Summary

Join Mark43 as a Product Designer and lead the design process from concept to launch, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create impactful designs for law enforcement and first responders. You will own the design process, conducting research, iterating based on data, and working closely with product and engineering teams. This role requires 7+ years of professional software product design experience, including expertise in managing work autonomously and designing complex enterprise SaaS products. You will present designs to customers and leadership, seeking feedback and iterating quickly. Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional product design experience
  • 3+ years of designing complex enterprise SaaS products
  • Understanding of native iOS and Android applications
  • Experience leading qualitative and quantitative research
  • Experience with end-to-end design and shipping products
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Own the 0-1 product design process by conducting research, designing solutions from insights, iterating based on data, and collaborating closely with product and engineering to deliver best-in-class products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate design thinking and innovation
  • Lead design solutions for law enforcement, first responders, and 911 dispatchers, focusing on enhancing their safety, improving their attention, and minimizing cognitive load through effective information design, intuitive visual designs, dynamic animations, and responsive feedback mechanisms
  • Design across devicesโ€”desktop, tablet, and mobile apps in various environments
  • Proactively meet with the design team for feedback, product teams to plan the roadmap, and engineering for sprint meetings to drive the work forward
  • Present design solutions to our customers and leadership teams, actively seeking feedback, and iterating quickly
  • Contribute to design systems and consistent pattern libraries

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in law-enforcement software (not a must)
  • Experience co-designing with customers
  • Experience designing for situational awareness features
  • Excellent visual design and presentation skills
