Summary
Join Experian's UX team as a Senior Product Designer to manage the creation and optimization of consumer-facing web and native financial products. Collaborate with various teams, including Product, Engineering, and Marketing, to deliver best-in-class product experiences. Execute large-scale design projects, establish UX design processes, and mentor junior designers. Design within a complex application ecosystem to ensure a consistent customer experience across Experian's platforms. Create design deliverables such as user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes based on UX research and usability testing. Contribute to usability testing and translate research data into functional designs. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of experience in UX and product design. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Visual Design, Interaction Design/UX or similar field from an accredited four-year university or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in research, UX, and product design
- Solid portfolio of demonstrated work required
- Understanding of front-end application development as it pertains to design
- Experience working in a product organization, driving products from ideation through launch and beyond over multiple releases
- Openness to take direction from design leadership and know how and when to defend design choices
- Experience designing for customer-facing applications in financial, investment, insurance or related industries
- Experience working with Figma, Jira and Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of service design, design systems, and Agile methodologies
- Knowledge of prototyping to help understand the problem, test concepts and communicate experiences to our teams and clients
Responsibilities
- Execute large-scale and complex design projects, establish and update UX design processes and mentor junior designers; give and solicit feedback from designers and a broader product team to increase quality
- Design within a complex application ecosystem to guarantee a consistent, compelling and engaging customer experience across Experian's responsive websites and native mobile apps (iOS and Android)
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other business stakeholders on product requirements
- Create design deliverables and specifications in the form of user journeys, storyboards, interaction models, process flows, information architecture, wireframes, and prototypes based on iterative UX research and usability testing
- Create solutions designed to grow and grow over time, as product functionality and content matures and as user requirements evolve
- Contribute to usability testing efforts through prototyping to ensure that all projects are guided by user needs and business outcomes. Understand qualitative and quantitative research data, our goals and requirements, and translate them into functional designs
