Summary
Join the Ethereum Foundation's Protocol team as their UX Lead and collaborate with the Protocol Architecture team to ensure Ethereum's evolution benefits users. This foundational role involves defining and advocating for exceptional user experiences, infusing user-centric thinking into technical decisions, and impacting millions of users. You will establish and embed UX best practices, conduct user research to identify pain points and opportunities, consult with technical teams, and drive user-focused conversations. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of UX design experience in technical domains, a proven ability to conduct user research, and strong collaboration and communication skills. This full-time, fully remote role offers flexible hours and opportunities for travel to industry events. Anonymity is possible with KYC.
Requirements
- 5+ years of UX design experience, ideally with significant exposure to deeply technical domains with Ethereum or crypto products: wallets, apps, infrastructure or protocols
- Proven ability to conduct rigorous user research, distill insights clearly, and integrate them meaningfully into product development
- Strong collaborative and communication skills; experience advocating for UX best practices among highly technical teams
Responsibilities
- Establish and embedding UX best practices within Protocol, ensuring user experience is a first-class consideration in technical design and strategic decisions
- Conducting deep, user-focused research to identify pain points, opportunities, and interaction patterns across Ethereum’s ecosystem
- Consulting and partnering with various technical teams within Protocol and the Ethereum ecosystem, leveling up their understanding and execution of user-centered design
- Driving user-focused conversations, clearly articulating trade-offs, and shaping decisions that impact Ethereum’s global community

- Hours are flexible, but you should generally be available around “Eth o’clock” (14:00 UTC) for synchronous calls
