Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Architecture, or a related field; or equivalent experience
- Proven experience with 1-3 years in leading UX/UI design teams, ideally within the e-commerce or digital product space
- Strong portfolio showcasing successful mobile UX/UI projects, highlighting your ability to solve complex design challenges and create user-friendly solutions
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, or similar tools
- In-depth knowledge of user-centered design processes, methodologies, and best practices
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders
- Strong leadership and team management skills, including the ability to inspire, mentor, and guide a diverse team of designers
- Familiarity with front-end development principles and collaboration with development teams
- A strategic mindset, with the ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of UX designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
- Be a player-coach, who can also do hands-on design when needed
- Prioritize and execute the overall UX strategy for our e-commerce platforms, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs
- When needed, assist with research, usability testing, and user journey mapping to gain insights and identify opportunities for improving the user experience
- Translate user insights and business requirements into user-centered design solutions, considering user interface design, interaction design, and visual design principles
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Developers to ensure the successful implementation of design solutions while maintaining a balance between user needs, technical constraints, and business objectives
- Collaborate with the design system team, help define guidelines, and standards to ensure a consistent and cohesive user experience across all platforms and touchpoints
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX/UI design and e-commerce to drive continuous improvement
- Advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the organization, fostering a user-centric mindset and creating a culture of design excellence
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a global or multicultural e-commerce environment
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines (WCAG) for creating inclusive digital experiences
- Experience with data-driven design and A/B testing methodologies
