Summary

YPrime is seeking a UX/UI Designer to work remotely or in their Sandwich office. The designer will gather user requirements, design interfaces, conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback, optimize current products, and more for life-altering research projects in the pharma and biotech industries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, or a relevant field is desirable
  • 1-5 years of proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer
  • Experienced working on user-facing web and mobile applications
  • A portfolio of design projects
  • Working knowledge of wireframe tools
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Figma, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop

Responsibilities

  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
  • Design graphic user interface elements like menus, tabs, and widgets
  • Build page navigation buttons and search fields
  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how products function and look like
  • Create original graphic designs (e.g., images, sketches, and tables)
  • Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g., responsiveness)
  • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
  • Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and images
  • Drive UX optimization roadmap and ongoing initiatives
  • Manage testing and present results to stakeholders. Keep archive of tests and results for reference as best practices
  • Conduct ROI analysis of test results and recommend rollout plans
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of trends within the industry
  • Conduct competitive analysis and regularly review competitor strategies
  • Optimize current web, platform, and mobile products through an iterative design process
  • Collaborate and contribute to our creative process

Preferred Qualifications

  • Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Good time-management skills
  • Understanding or prior experience in the clinical trial / pharmaceutical industry is an advantage
