Summary

Join Iterable as our VP, Controller and lead our accounting and financial reporting functions. Reporting to the CFO, you will oversee global accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance while driving process improvements. This key leadership role requires deep SaaS experience, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing teams. The position is remote, preferably based in the San Francisco Bay Area for occasional in-office meetings. You will be responsible for managing the annual audit process, developing internal controls, collaborating with FP&A, and leading system implementations. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA with experience from a Big 4 accounting firm and extensive corporate accounting experience, ideally within SaaS
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, ASC 606, and SaaS business models
  • Familiarity with with ERP, Billing, Procurement, and Financial Close Tools (ex: NetSuite, Zuora, Salesforce, SteelBrick, Coupa and Gaapify)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and tax compliance
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements
  • Manage the annual audit process and relationships with external auditors
  • Develop and maintain strong internal controls, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SaaS revenue recognition standards (ASC 606)
  • Evaluate and improve accounting processes, systems, and policies to support scaling operations
  • Collaborate with FP&A to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making
  • Lead system implementations and enhancements, including ERP and financial planning tools
  • Partner with the CFO and executive leadership on accounting strategy, risk management, and investor relations
  • Build and mentor a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
