Summary

Join Storyblok, a rapidly growing B2B SaaS company, as their VP of Finance. You will be responsible for leading and scaling the finance function, driving financial planning, forecasting, and revenue operations, overseeing FP&A, performance analysis, accounting, treasury, and procurement across international subsidiaries. You will manage investor relations, fundraising, and board communications, ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and effective cash flow and FX risk management. You will also mentor a high-performing finance team and align financial processes with business and customer success goals. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of finance experience, including 5+ years in senior SaaS finance roles, deep knowledge of SaaS metrics, and a track record of scaling finance in VC-backed international companies. Strong technical, leadership, and communication skills are essential.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Finance and fields like Investing, Banking, Cooperate Finance
  • 5+ years of working experience as a Finance Director or higher in a B2B SaaS company
  • Deep knowledge of SaaS business models and KPIs
  • Strong understanding in scaling finance functions in Series B/C/D  startups or scale-ups
  • Experience in treasury with cash flow and FX management in an international environment
  • Good knowledge in Accounting, remuneration, consolidation and handling different GAAPs
  • Proven understanding in fundraising, investor relations, and board-level communication
  • Tech-savvy and expertise with automation and finance tools (NetSuite, Stripe, Sigma, Salesforce, Yokoy, Gatekeeper, Embat or any other fin-tech tools.)
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
  • Hands-on, adaptable, and energized by a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in an international remote environment
  • Ability to mitigate unforeseen problems creatively and effectively
  • People management skills, training, coordinating people
  • Top-notch organization skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for long-term financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting processes to develop and execute long-term financial strategies
  • Collaborate with the executive team to drive business performance and achieve financial targets
  • Deliver clear, actionable insights with your FP&A team through monthly performance reporting, SaaS metric tracking, and Revenue forecasting
  • Lead the revenue operations and strategy activities with your team to accelerate revenue growth and support the Go-to-Market team with all necessary insights
  • Discuss and collaborate with the SLT group on actions necessary to improve the profitability and ROI of our revenue growth functions
  • Monitor key performance indicators and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive the defined action plans
  • Use company-wide available data to support data-based decision-making
  • Partner closely with all SLT members to generate a 12-month rolling forecast that includes workforce, license, and overhead costs
  • Manage investor communication by providing financial reports as well as board materials
  • Partner with the CEO and Chief of Staff on topics such as fundraising, M&A, due diligence or capital allocations
  • Manage the accounting and remuneration team to ensure compliance with GAAP and local regulations
  • Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Manage the team to ensure accurate and timely tax, financial reporting, and yearly financial audits
  • Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and capital efficiency
  • Provide consolidated financial statements for an international company with multiple subsidiaries
  • Oversee global treasury operations, including FX risk management and multi-currency structures
  • Maintain and optimize banking, vendor and insurance relationships and funding strategies
  • Ensure your team has accurate and timely compensation payouts while partnering closely with the People team to maintain alignment on compensation strategies and processes, including bonus structures, merit increases, compensation, and benefits
  • Drive cost efficiency and supplier performance across the organization with your Commercial Team
  • Manage the Workplace team to build a scalable environment for a high-performing team
  • Implement best practices and leverage technology across all financial workflows to drive efficiency and increase scalability and accuracy
  • Provide with your team a company-wide risk assessment and provide mitigation strategies to the executive team
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
  • Provide mentorship and development opportunities to team members
  • Drive collaboration and alignment across departments to achieve business goals
  • Ensure financial processes align with and support customer satisfaction and retention goals
  • Collaborate with customer-facing teams to enhance service delivery and resolve financial issues
  • Stay abreast of industry, macro trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation
