Requirements
- A minimum of 15 to 20 years of experience in government affairs and public policy
- Extensive knowledge of the legislative and regulatory processes
- Experience working in the legislative and/or executive branch of Government
- Contacts with House and Senate Committee staff with jurisdiction over technology policy
- Contacts with Federal Agencies with jurisdiction over technology policy
- Management experience
- Ability to interact with Senior Executives
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with internal teams, external partners, and government officials
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities with attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Serve as the company’s lead representative in Washington, DC
- Build the company’s Federal Government Affairs infrastructure necessary to participate in the legislative and regulatory processes at the highest levels
- Begin to develop a State Governmental Affairs Infrastructure capable of communicating with local and state elected officials representing jurisdictions in which the company's facilities are located
- Develop and recommend a strategy for CoreWeave to participate in the elections process
- Oversee a system to continuously monitor and analyze proposed State and Federal AI and technology policy legislation, regulations, and policies and assess their impact on the company’s business
- Supervise the preparation of regular reports, both in written form and verbally to Management and General Counsel, on AI, technology policy and other potential issues which will affect the company’s business on a regular basis and work across the company to recommend and develop company responses
- Develop and implement a strategy to communicate and advocate company positions to Government officials and other stakeholders
- Advocate for the company's interests while fostering positive relationships with policymakers
- Develop systems to ensure efforts to monitor and analyze policies in the UK and European countries which will affect CoreWeave, and positions taken and advocated on such issues are consistent across the US and Europe
- Work with the legal department to oversee and coordinate responses to governmental inquiries in the US, UK, and EU
- Coordinate the company’s efforts across all company departments to ensure a consistent approach to government affairs, and regulatory compliance
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, external counsel, business partners, and external stakeholders to determine the direction of future AI and Technology policy at the State and Federal level
Preferred Qualifications
A background in and knowledge of technology policy is preferred
