Visiting Professor

Summary

Join Chamberlain College of Nursing as a Part-Time Online Visiting Professor and share your expertise in our MSN program. This 100% online teaching position offers incredible flexibility. We seek experienced Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) with a doctoral degree and a passion for education. Thorough training is provided to ensure high-quality instruction. The compensation rate is competitive and depends on education and experience. We are currently seeking candidates for future sessions.

Requirements

• Be certified as an FNP by AANP or ANCC
• Have clinical experience as an FNP with a strong background in primary adult care
• Hold a DNP, PhD, EdD, or other relevant doctoral degree
• Possess an active, unencumbered Compact RN nursing license
• Have at least a temporary Illinois RN License or be willing to obtain one before March 2025
• Demonstrate excellent communication, motivational, and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment
• Be proficient in using MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), WebEx/Teams (or similar platform), and the Internet, with a strong emphasis on Excel and the use of up to 4 interfaces: Canvas, Camsoft, iHuman, Metrics

Responsibilities

• Teach students in the MSN program
• Provide practitioner-focused education

Preferred Qualifications

Willingness to obtain an Illinois RN license (at own expense)
