VP, Applied AI

Summary

Join TIFIN as VP of Applied AI and lead AI efforts across various product lines. You will own AI strategy, driving innovation and growth. Responsibilities include zero-to-one product development, integrating agentic workflow systems, and leading a high-performing team of AI engineers. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in applied AI engineering, including technical leadership and team management, and experience shipping generative AI products powered by LLMs. This senior leadership role reports to the Head of AI. Compensation includes a salary of $200,000-$250,000 USD, equity, and benefits.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience (post-MS/Ph.D) in applied AI engineering, including technical leadership and/or team management
• Experience shipping generative AI products powered by LLMs: designing and implementing agentic workflows that enable autonomous AI behaviors, leveraging the latest state-of-the-art research

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the AI strategy that drives TIFIN’s innovation and growth
• Zero-to-one product development: rapidly prototype, evaluate, integrate, and test new product features in collaboration with product and engineering teams
• Develop and integrate agentic workflow systems that empower AI agents to operate autonomously, enabling proactive decision-making and dynamic interactions
• Lead, mentor and grow a high-performing team of AI engineers, including hiring as the team scales

Preferred Qualifications

Resilience and adaptability - experience working at early-stage startups is a plus
