Summary

Join Fortitude Re, a leading provider of legacy reinsurance solutions, as their Vice President of Data Process Automation. This role will leverage data, analytics, and AI to streamline operations and enhance decision-making. You will analyze existing workflows, define future states, and implement automated processes across the firm. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in process automation, data strategy, and AI-driven transformation. You will collaborate with various departments to design and implement automation initiatives. This position reports to the MD, Head of Data and Analytics and offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in data management, analytics, process automation, AI, or operations
  • Proven expertise in business process automation, AI-driven transformation, and analytics-driven decision-making
  • Hands-on experience with workflow automation tools, data application development (Streamlit, Gradio etc.), AI/ML frameworks, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Strong data engineering and ETL process knowledge to enable seamless automation workflows
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a high-growth, technology-driven environment
  • Ability to translate business challenges into automation opportunities and build scalable solutions
  • Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and change management skills

Responsibilities

  • Process Analysis & Optimization: Assess existing business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend automation opportunities using data-driven insights. Develop business cases to justify investment in automation of processes
  • Automation Strategy: Define and implement a firm-wide data process automation strategy, integrating cutting-edge AI, machine learning (ML), and analytics to drive operational excellence
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with IT, Data Engineering, Data Science, Business Operations, and other departments to design and implement automation initiatives that align with business objectives
  • AI & Data Utilization: Develop and scale AI-driven process automation solutions that leverage advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and generative AI to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
  • Change Management & Training: Advocate for a data-driven automation culture, provide training, and ensure adoption of automated solutions across teams
  • Governance & Compliance: Establish best practices for process automation governance, ensuring compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory standards
  • Performance Measurement: Define KPIs and success metrics to track automation impact, efficiency gains, and cost savings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial services and insurance/re-insurance with automation to drive significant efficiency
  • Familiarity with process mining tools to map and optimize workflows
  • Experience with generative AI and large language models (LLMs) for intelligent process automation
  • Knowledge of low-code/no-code automation platforms to accelerate deployment
