VP Finance

Summary

Join Product School as the Vice President of Finance to lead and mentor a team of accountants, oversee financial planning and reporting, and provide executive management with comprehensive reports. This role is ideal for someone with 10-15 years of Accounting/Finance experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role within a high-growth environment.

Requirements

• 10 to 15 years of Accounting/Finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a high-growth environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA, CPA and/or CFA preferred
• Proven track record of implementing process and efficiency improvements, or establishing a Finance function within a startup
• Proficient in both Accounting and FP&A / Strategic Finance, with the ability to provide comprehensive financial decision support to the team
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with accounting software (eg, QuickBooks), and proven experience partnering with external auditors and managing statutory audits
• Strategic thinker with superior analytical abilities, capable of translating complex financial information into clear and compelling narratives

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 3-4 accountants
• Oversee the preparation of monthly close and statutory annual financial statements
• Provide executive management as well as our investors with comprehensive reports and insightful commentary
• Prepare accurate and high-quality annual financial plans, and manage our monthly forecasting and variance analysis, providing insights for informed decision-making
