Summary

Join WatchGuard as the VP of FP&A and become an integral part of the leadership team, efficiently scaling the finance organization of a growing business. Lead the management and oversight of financial planning, internal financial and operational metrics reporting, finance-business partnerships, and related operational aspects of the business. This role encompasses the company’s annual planning process, monthly and quarterly re-forecasting, management and Board reporting, and financial partnership with the organization. You will lead, inspire, and develop a team of passionate financial professionals. The position reports to the CFO and will be a key participant in driving the business's success. WatchGuard embraces a flexible work philosophy, allowing for work from the office, at home, or a combination of both.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in accounting and/or finance organizations, preferably in the tech industry
  • 8+ years with experience leading distributed, and preferably global, teams
  • Must have strong attention to detail, and the ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction, follow-up on own initiative
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills as well as expert level knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and database applications
  • Extensive M&A experience
  • Individual must be collaborative self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and ability to interact positively and successfully with all levels of the company

Responsibilities

  • Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) process, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
  • Lead, mentor, and scale, the FP&A and data analytics teams
  • Develop internal financial reporting and provide commentary that gives senior leaders timely insights into the trends, operational results, and growth drivers of the business
  • Build and foster strong relationships with leaders across the business. Help the company understand how all the pieces fit together and drive performance
  • Create systems and processes that enhance financial rigor and enable more critical thinking and less data manipulation
  • Provide strong financial modeling and analytical support for strategic growth projects, new product development, long-term contracts, and other business initiatives, including M&A
  • Be responsible for the processes related to operational metric review across different levels of the business
  • Handle cross-functional business initiatives and build project execution quality within the team
