Join Monograph, a firm performance management platform for architecture and engineering practices, as their Finance Manager. You will be a key business partner to the executive team, owning core finance functions and enabling the companyโs growth trajectory. As a hands-on team of one, youโll oversee day-to-day accounting, budgeting, financial planning, and internal controls. Youโll report to the VP of Operations and work closely with department heads. Requirements
- 3โ5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance; SaaS or startup experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification a plus
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP; IFRS knowledge a bonus
- Experience with key tools such as QuickBooks Online, Salesforce, Stripe, Justworks, and Ramp
- Proven ability to run payroll and administer compensation plans
- Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations and maintain scalable financial processes, including A/R, A/P, and month-end close (oversee outsourced bookkeeping)
- Create and enforce accounting policies in compliance with GAAP; ensure tax compliance across multiple states (partner with outsourced tax accounting)
- Manage external accountants and prepare for audits and investor reporting cycles
- Run payroll and administer variable compensation programs (e.g., commissions)
- Own annual budgeting process and manage ongoing forecasts in partnership with department leads
- Track budget vs. actuals and implement cadence for variance reporting with department owners
- Build and maintain financial models to inform business strategy and capital planning
- Deliver actionable insights through analysis of financial performance, trends, and KPIs
- Partner with senior leadership on pricing, headcount planning, margin optimization, and cost efficiency projects
- Dig deep into the ROI of different programs (outbound sales, paid ads, etc.)
- Support fundraising, board materials, and scenario planning as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Strong modeling skills in Excel/Google Sheets; familiarity with financial software tools preferred
