VP of AI and Machine Learning

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in AI/ML development, with at least 3+ years in a technical leadership role
• Deep understanding of AI and machine learning algorithms (specifically LLMs and Speech/Voice models), data analysis, and statistical modeling
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TypeScript and/or C++ and experience with AI frameworks and tools such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve ambitious goals
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans that drive business value
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to convey complex technical information to a non-technical audience
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of Mursion’s AI product strategy
• Partner with the respective heads of Product & Learning to define AI product requirements and translate them into technical implementations
• Develop AI-driven simulations, scenario authoring tools and scoring mechanisms to enhance Mursion’s platform
• Execute the AI strategy in alignment with the company’s overall objectives
• Identify opportunities for AI to drive business value and competitive advantage
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and AI researchers
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of AI and data science projects
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and deliver measurable business impact
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field and integrate cutting-edge technologies and methodologies into our solutions
• Develop and implement data governance policies and practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance
• Promote a data-driven culture within the organization
• Communicate complex AI and data science concepts and technical progress to internal teams and leadership
• Ensure AI models and solutions are scalable, robust, and can be effectively deployed in production environments
• Address challenges related to the deployment and maintenance of AI systems
• Manage the budget for the AI and data science department
• Allocate resources efficiently to maximize ROI on AI and data initiatives
