Requirements
- Advanced degree in engineering, computer science, or related field
- 10+ years of engineering experience with at least 5 years in leadership roles overseeing engineering teams
- Proven track record of scaling engineering teams on start-ups growing from a valuation of 10M to 1B
- Expertise in programming languages such as Python and JavaScript, with familiarity in modern tech stacks (optional)
- Exceptional leadership skills, with a focus on team development, conflict resolution, and performance management
- Demonstrated experience with cloud-based architectures and microservices
- Deep understanding of software development methodologies, including agile processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an innovative mindset to drive technology solutions
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the engineering vision and strategy in alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and innovation
- Work closely with product and clinical teams to define engineering requirements that support product and business objectives
- Establish and uphold engineering best practices, processes, and metrics to enhance product quality and operational efficiency
- Oversee resource allocation, budget management, and scaling strategies to meet the demands of fast-paced product development
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitors, and provide guidance on technology direction and investments
- Engage with executive leadership, customers, and partners to communicate technical concepts and foster strategic partnerships
