Join us at Zone & Co., a leading SaaS company, as we seek a dynamic Vice President of Engineering to lead our high-velocity product division. As VP of Engineering, you will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of engineering projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product innovation, streamline engineering processes, and cultivate a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software development and engineering
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Director, VP, or similar) managing engineering and software development teams
• Proven track record of leading high-performance engineering teams in a SaaS (Software as a Service) or Fintech environment
• Experience in building and scaling engineering teams, including recruitment, mentoring, performance management, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
• Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success) to drive product development and align engineering efforts with business objectives
• Strong experience in cloud-native architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), microservices, and distributed systems
• Strong technical background with expertise in software development and engineering management
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced remote environment and manage multiple priorities
• Must be able to read, write and speak clearly in English

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Effective problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the engineering strategy for the assigned division in alignment with business goals
• Translate company strategy into engineering goals and overcommunicate to the team
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge
• Lead and mentor a diverse team of engineers, ensuring high performance and career development
• Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the engineering department
• Drive product development initiatives from conception to launch
• Oversee project timelines and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery of products
• Implement best practices for software development, testing, and deployment
• Collaborate with product management and other departments to ensure successful product delivery
• Ensure seamless integration between engineering and other departments
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive product development and optimize engineering processes
• Drive innovation and ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of engineering solutions
• Continuously improve engineering processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality
• Implement performance management by tracking leading indicators, implement management reporting, and communicate results
• Establish and monitor key performance metrics for the engineering team and projects
