Summary

Join Wallarm, a global remote-first team, as VP of Technology/Head of Cloud, reporting to the CTO. You will own the global SLO/SLA framework, define infrastructure roadmaps, enforce SLAs, and lead infrastructure and SRE teams. Responsibilities include designing on-call rotas, managing infrastructure spending, overseeing the technology stack (Terraform/Ansible/IaC, Kubernetes, Docker), and ensuring compliance (SOC2, FedRAMP, PCI DSS). You will also embed Secure SDLC controls and champion zero-trust principles. This role requires extensive experience in large-scale, multi-cloud infrastructure, managing significant cloud budgets, and building incident-command programs. Excellent communication skills are essential.

Requirements

  • 8 + years running large-scale, multi-cloud infrastructure with 3 + years as a people leader
  • Proven ownership of $1 M + annual cloud budgets and cost-optimization programs
  • Hands-on depth with Kubernetes, Docker and IaC (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Track record building on-call and incident-command programs for high-stress 24 Γ— 7 services
  • Demonstrated success in achieving SOC 2 or FedRAMP compliance
  • Executive-level communication skills; able to translate technical risk for C-suite & customers
  • Fluent written and spoken English

Responsibilities

  • Own global SLO/SLA framework; run the incident-command program and blameless post-mortems
  • Define a one-year infra roadmap on an annual basis
  • Enforce SLOs and SLAs across the whole engineering organization
  • Hire, coach and develop EMs and ICs; establish succession plans and career ladders for infrastructure and SRE teams
  • Design the global on-call rota and escalation paths; ensure 24 Γ— 7 coverage and healthy toil budgets
  • Take responsibility for all infrastructure spendings that we have
  • Oversee our stack - Terraform/Ansible/IaC, GitLab CI pipelines, Prometheus-based observability, K8s/Docker, VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, Loki and internal tooling - and guide build-vs-buy decisions
  • Help us to build infrastructure compliant with multiple compliances - SOC2, FedRamp and PCI DSS
  • Embed Secure SDLC controls, automate cloud-native security and champion zero-trust principles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with high-growth SaaS companies or startup environments
  • Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, Secure SDLC and cloud-native security
  • Familiarity with data infrastructure, security automation tools and experimentation platforms
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native security, Secure SDLC and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with security automation tools, data infrastructure and experimentation platforms
