Summary

Join Donegal Insurance Group as a Web Developer and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of commercial lines applications. Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Computer Science, Graphic Communication or related field
  • Have a minimum of two (2) years of web application development experience
  • Have experience with a variety of web application development tools and software such as C#.NET and JavaScript
  • Have experience with relational database programming using SQL

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement web applications using development languages such as C#.NET and JavaScript
  • Troubleshoot and maintain existing web application software โ€“ pertinent to the commercial lines portals
  • Meet on a regular basis with the Systems Development management team to ensure the companyโ€™s commercial lines applications are delivering the appropriate functionality
  • Take direction from management on modifications to applications as needed and provide recommendations on design, architecture, tools, and software needed to satisfy requirements
  • Assist with the web server including software installations, upgrades, and performance tuning to maintain appropriate service levels and ensure user response times fall within acceptable parameters
  • Be proficient in writing SQL queries to access information from backend databases, primarily SQL Server
