Web Developer

Summary

The job description is for a Full-Stack Web Developer at SEO Sherpa. The role involves website improvements, maintenance, and collaboration with the SEO and paid search teams on various content management systems. The position is remote but requires collaboration within time zones of 4 hours +/- of Dubai.

Requirements

• Verifiable, proven track record of customizing, updating, and maintaining web-standard CMSs like WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Magento, and others
• Knowledge of backend and frontend technologies and experience working with Javascript frontend frameworks/SPAs and other emerging technologies
• Ability to create well-documented, reusable code for website improvements, custom theme development, plugin creation, and automation

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute delivery of website improvements and updates
• Execute tasks such as speed optimization, user experience improvements, custom tracking scripts, and landing page builds
• Integrate closely with the SEO and paid search teams by implementing performance recommendations on client’s websites
• Deploy technical improvements and customizations on various content management systems, including but not limited to WordPress, Shopify, Magento, and custom builds
• Track and fix issues as they arise to maintain optimum site health

Preferred Qualifications

• Keeping up with SEO fundamentals and trends
• Effective communication style in emails, Slack messages, or sharing recommendations with a client
• Sharing strategic opinions and recommendations
• Superior problem-solving skills and ability to tackle complex problems and translate them into actionable solutions
