Join Power Digital as a Web Development Manager (Shopify, Wordpress) and oversee the web development division, acting as a coach, leader, mentor, and problem-solver. Requirements

  • Possess a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
  • Have a strong technical background with experience in Shopify and Wordpress
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills
  • Have experience scoping out new projects for net-new clients and allocating timelines and resources
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be adept at identifying and solving problems during the development process
  • Have the ability to align software development efforts with organizational goals and strategies
  • Understand the business context and how software development contributes to company objectives
  • Be adaptable and open to learning new technologies, tools, and methodologies
  • Have previous experience in a technical leadership role, such as a team lead or senior developer, with experience managing software development projects and teams
  • Be bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Provide escalation support to team members and account teams to problem-solve challenges at the account and/or personnel level
  • Oversee the kickoff of high-priority client projects, ensuring account excellence across the entire book of web development clients
  • Manage the people and processes within the development team, ensuring the team meets project goals and deadlines
  • Coach team members, guide their development, foster a collaborative work environment, and support their professional growth
  • Serve as the main point of contact between the development team and non-technical stakeholders, translating technical concepts into business terms
  • Define technical requirements, assess feasibility, allocate resources effectively, and establish realistic timelines for new projects
  • Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and provide feedback to web developers, aligning their work with organizational goals
  • Hire and allocate human and technical resources to ensure projects are adequately staffed and supported, in coordination with the Head of Operations
