Web Engineer - Associate

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience or other evidence of exceptional ability
• 1-2 years of coding experience with JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular or Ember) with strong CSS skills
• Solid understanding of fundamental web technologies
• Thorough understanding of React.js and the web as a whole
• Testing with a modern test framework i.e., jest, enzyme, cypress, puppeteer, etc
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, Yarn, etc
• Strong CSS skills w/ experience building responsive applications across a variety of browsers and devices using modern CSS3 techniques
• Strong communication skills (internal and external), demonstrated problem-solving skills, adaptable, proactive and willing to take ownership

Responsibilities

• Build easy-to-use and performant websites serving multiple partners across marketing and design
• Understand the technical constraints of a project, and make pragmatic tradeoffs with stakeholders
• Contribute to and maintain our interactive design system used across all digital properties
• Participate in the full development lifecycle, including estimation, design, development, testing, and deployment
• Collaborate with our design team via regular design critiques and working sessions
• Review and respond to operational issues, escalating as necessary
