As a project management assistant, you'll work on website development projects for APAC and Japan clients, ensuring quality delivery and managing relationships with customers.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of website development and content management systems
  • Ability to work independently, set short-term priorities, and make good decisions
  • Ability to speak, read, and write Japanese language at a business level, as you will be required to liaise with internal stakeholders in the Japan Head Office and handle business documents in their native language
  • Ability to follow procedures and policies
  • Ability to perform repetitive duties with a high degree of accuracy
  • Work with the QA team through deployment; must have prior experience doing QA/QC (quality control) on websites
  • Able to do minor translations/localizations (in English and Japanese) for clientsโ€™ website content and other communication materials
  • Some working experience on websites will be a plus
  • Familiarity with navigating through different pages of a website
  • Familiar with Content Management Systems like Drupal, WordPress, etc
  • Good communication skills in both English and Japanese language proficiency are a must to liaise with Japanese-speaking clients and project stakeholders
  • For the Japanese language proficiency, at least a JLPT N1 or native level as you will be required to communicate frequently with Japanese clients and stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the project management of websites being developed for APAC and Japan clients
  • A high degree of accuracy and great attention to detail
  • Manage relationships, and requests, and ensure quality delivery for our customers: - Assist clients in supporting them to understand how to use website components. - Assist clients in answering their requests and autonomously solving basic technical tasks or more sophisticated tasks with the support of developers. - Provide on-call web support/customer service to both APAC and Japanese-speaking customers
  • Ensure the project team, including management as appropriate, is continually updated, including successes, issues, concerns, and feedback
  • Ensure the use of best practices and apply lessons learned from previous projects
  • Maintain an understanding of industry trends and research industry-related media
