Summary
Join a data-driven digital advertising and retention marketing firm as a Website Developer (Shopify)! This remote, full-time position offers the opportunity to develop and maintain e-commerce websites for B2B and B2C clients. You will collaborate with designers and project managers, utilizing platforms like Shopify, WordPress, and WooCommerce. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of experience in website development, expertise in e-commerce best practices, and proficiency in design tools like Figma. This is a long-term opportunity with a competitive salary and the benefit of working from home. The position requires entering into an independent contractor agreement.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in Website Development
- 5+ years experience as a Website Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful e-commerce website projects
- Proficiency in designing websites using platforms such as Shopify, WordPress, and WooCommerce, with a solid understanding of their respective ecosystems, themes, and plugins
- Advanced skills in Figma or similar design tools, with the ability to create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes with attention to detail and user experience
- Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, including UX/UI principles and CRO techniques
- Experience with responsive and mobile-first design principles, ensuring optimal user experience across various devices and screen sizes
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate design concepts and interact effectively with clients and team members
- Detail-oriented with a passion for innovation and continuous learning in the field of e-commerce website design and development
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain e-commerce websites using platforms such as Shopify, WordPress, and WooCommerce
- Collaborate with designers and project managers, and stakeholders to translate design mockups into fully functional websites
- Customize and extend website functionalities using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant plugins or extensions
- Integrate third-party services and APIs for payment processing, shipping, and other e-commerce functionalities
- Optimize website performance for speed, responsiveness, and search engine visibility
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring smooth operation and user experience across different devices and browsers
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to e-commerce website development
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients and team members as needed
- Collaborate with other developers and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of projects
