Work Prep Coordinator

Summary

Join Girls Who Code as a part-time, remote Work Prep Program Coordinator! This three-week program supports college-aged women and non-binary individuals pursuing tech careers. You'll guide a cohort of up to 120 participants, manage onboarding, and handle all communications. The role requires experience working with college students and Zoom logistics, along with data tracking and reporting skills. The position runs from April 7th to August 1st, 2025, with varying weekly hour commitments. Interviews begin after January 13th, 2025.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience working with college-aged students or young adults
• Experience with logistically hosting on Zoom (playing music, creating and managing breakout rooms, etc.)
• Experience with tracking and reporting basic data (i.e. attendance percentages)
• Experience working in a collaborative environment
• Confident in ability to quickly learn and navigate new platforms
• Service-minded with a helpful approach
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Proactive, candid communicator
• Reliable, strong internet connection and access to a computer (one will not be provided)
• Passion for our mission to close the gender gap in technology fields through a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Responsibilities

• Provide support and guidance to a cohort of up to 120 participants through the Work Prep program
• Manage onboarding of participants two weeks pre-program
• Manage all participant communications: responding to and tracking inbound, using templates to send reminders, announcements etc
• Provide Zoom and logistical support to participants and corporate partners
• Track attendance and assignment submissions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with students in college or a job readiness program
• Experience or knowledge of the tech industry, computer science, or adjacent fields
