Join Price Benowitz, LLP, a growing law firm, as a full-time, remote Worker’s Compensation Paralegal. This role requires advanced paralegal and case management skills, extensive litigation experience, and a strong worker’s compensation law background. Applicants must hold a JD or equivalent law degree and have relevant legal experience. The position is fully remote, welcoming applicants based in Latin America. Responsibilities include preparing legal documents, managing client files, communicating with clients and third parties, and assisting attorneys. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.

Requirements

  • JD/Law degree from your home country is required, along with relevant legal experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Paralegal in a law firm, preferably in worker’s compensation or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in worker’s compensation law and procedures, including familiarity with handling claims, negotiations, and settlements
  • Excellent command of English (C1-C2 level) with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills to maintain effective communication with clients, attorneys, and third parties
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and case management software
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with attorneys and staff

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize documents for client meetings, court filings, hearings, and other legal proceedings
  • Manage and maintain client files and electronic records with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses, specific to worker’s compensation cases
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, provide case updates, and guide them through the worker’s compensation process
  • Draft and send correspondence to medical providers, insurance companies, and opposing counsel
  • Contact medical providers to obtain medical records, balances, and assist in balance reductions as needed
  • Coordinate scheduling of hearings, depositions, and other case-related events
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation, document review, and case strategy
  • Perform other essential departmental functions as needed
