Summary

Join Spring Health as a Workplace Absence & Accommodations Specialist, reporting to the Program Manager. This full-time, fully remote position focuses on reviewing and processing leave and accommodation requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance. You will collaborate with internal teams, maintain accurate records, and utilize strong communication skills. Success in this role is measured by timely ticket completion, high customer satisfaction, and reduced escalations. The position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 2+ years in leave administration or related HR functions, and a strong understanding of relevant legislation. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in leave administration, accommodations management, or related HR functions
  • Strong understanding of FMLA, STD, and ADA
  • Familiarity with disability management and workplace accommodations processes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations tactfully and empathetically
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Acknowledge and embrace diversity and inclusion
  • Motivated to go above and beyond for members to provide a high-touch experience

Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and process documentation related to leave and accommodation requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Identify trends related to documentation completion and provide feedback and guidance to the provider team to improve member satisfaction and LOA process outcomes
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Medical Records, Clinical Quality, and Provider Operations to offer guidance and resolve complex issues efficiently
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in multiple systems and platforms, ensuring compliance with privacy and confidentiality requirements
  • Use effective written skills to complete professional documentation and to interact with stakeholders via email and electronic communications
  • Promote effective care by coordinating closely with Spring Health Care Support and Provider Operations team
