Join The Zoe Report as a remote, part-time Writer, Fashion & Celebrity News! You will be responsible for covering celebrity news, working closely with the Editorial Director to pitch and write various content formats. A strong sense of urgency, news judgment, and audience awareness are crucial. The ideal candidate is passionate about writing, celebrities, and entertainment, and can produce multiple articles daily. Experience in a fast-paced digital newsroom is a must. This role is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with the Writers Guild of America East. The position offers a competitive hourly rate.

Requirements

• 2+ years of celebrity writing experience in digital media
• Ability to work up to 28 hours per week between the hours of 9 a.m and 5p.m EST Monday- Friday (and occasionally on the weekends, particularly during award season)
• Familiarity with best practices for search and social
• Ability to write quickly, without compromising brand integrity or mission
• Contacts in the fashion industry
• A sense of fun, urgency, and a can-do attitude
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Familiarity with SEO best practices

Responsibilities

• Write 2-3 celebrity articles of varying length per day on Fashion and Celebrity News
• Keep a finger on the pulse of all things celebrity news via social media, press releases, and exclusive announcements via your professional network
• Develop pitches and write compelling, clear ledes and nut grafs that draw the reader in to consume Fashion and Celebrity News
• Work closely with team members during tentpole events, such as awards season and fashion weeks
