Summary
Join Sperasoft's team to work on a First-Person Shooter (FPS) project with AAA-quality visuals! As an Environment Artist, you will collaborate with a team of industry professionals and a world-renowned game developer. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining high-polygonal sculpts and real-time game assets, creating modular environment assets using trim sheets and tileable textures, and ensuring timely completion of assets. You will work closely with the Lead Artist and communicate regularly on project status. This role requires professional experience in the video game industry, strong modeling and texturing skills, and proficiency in relevant software. The ideal candidate will have shipped at least one AAA-quality title. This position offers learning and development opportunities, medical care, flexible working hours, and various perks.
Requirements
- Professional experience in the video game industry building architecture and props
- Strong modeling background. Ability to create, trim sheets, tileable and unique textures, as well as combine them effectively
- Strong knowledge of baking and texturing with tools such as Marmoset, Substance Painter. Ability to seamlessly bake assets made of multiple parts
- At minimum, 1 shipped titles that exhibit AAA game-quality art
Responsibilities
- Work with Lead Artist and other artists to maintain production appearance, including quality and art style across all project assets
- Develop, maintain, and create both high polygonal sculpts and real-time game assets matching project and studio standards
- Create modular environment assets using trim sheets, tileable and unique textures, and effectively combine them to create high-quality assets
- Work with Lead Artist to ensure timely completion of game assets
- Communicate regularly with the Lead Artist regarding the status of current tasks
- Investigate client technology and be highly proficient in it
- Help Lead Artist or develop briefs and documents for asset creation and training
- Explore new technologies on the given platforms to achieve best possible results
- Complete all tasks in a timely manner and to a consistent high quality standard
- Contribute to the team-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong Maya and Substance Designer experience is a plus
- A passion for creating games and the ability to learn quickly will be a plus
