Account Executive

Summary

Join Figment, a leading provider of blockchain infrastructure solutions, as the first employee in the Middle East. Drive business growth in the MENA region by identifying and executing new revenue opportunities for institutional staking. Play a key role in supporting regulatory efforts and representing Figment in the region. Collaborate with internal teams to adapt products for regional clients and provide market insights to leadership. This remote-first position, based in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, requires 5+ years of relevant experience in the Middle East, a strong network of crypto and TradFi clients, and proven success in sales and business development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience (some or all of this in the Middle East)
• Currently working in the Middle East and forged strong relationships with crypto and TradFi clients in the region
• Experience in the family office, asset management, VC or fund space in the Middle East
• Demonstrated success meeting/exceeding quarterly and annual new business sales targets
• Proven track record of filling the sales funnel with qualified leads and nurturing those leads through the sales cycle and then managing and maintaining customer relationships
• Success in driving customer expansion and advocating internally for customers’ unique needs
• Experience using CRM tools to track leads and new opportunities
• Keen interest in crypto/blockchain with a familiarity of staking
• Self-starter who is excited at the prospect of growing a business in a fast developing sector. Someone who is ready to get involved with every stage of the sales cycle
• Pragmatic and solutions-oriented: always looking for more efficient and effective ways to do things
• Has a high EQ and love working with a growing team
• Past experience in engaging with financial and legal regulators and managing a business/business unit subject to regulatory oversight
• Excellent business communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively in a remote-first organization

Responsibilities

• Be the first person on the ground for Figment in the Middle East
• Drive business growth in the MENA region by identifying and executing on new opportunities to increase revenue for our institutional staking business
• Play a key role in supporting major regulatory/policy efforts, and subsequently ensuring that Figment operates in full compliance with applicable local regulatory requirements
• Be the face of Figment in the region, including representation in media engagements, conferences and industry forums, and in meetings with local clients and regulators
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to inform products and user experiences highly-adapted to the needs of regional clients
• Provide Figment’s leadership team with insights on regional market trends, competitive dynamics, and strategic corporate opportunities

Preferred Qualifications

• Arabic language skills are a plus
• Good understanding of how the various functions of a regulated financial services business operate (e.g. Compliance, Finance, Risk, Treasury, Audit, Outsourcing)
• Experience in working with a multi-national business
