Summary

Join Simpplr as an Account Manager, SMB and drive company growth by managing a portfolio of accounts, focusing on retention and expansion. You will navigate clients through sales cycles for contract renewals, providing value through Simpplr solutions. This role requires managing a large portfolio of SMB accounts, expanding Simpplr's solutions within new business areas, and partnering with Customer Success and Revenue Operations teams. Success in this position demands exceeding bookings and revenue goals, building pipeline to meet ARR targets, and creating accurate forecasts. You will also be responsible for developing winning proposals, negotiating pricing and contractual terms, and mastering defined sales processes. Requirements

  • 2+ years of account management  experience in technology / software industry preferred
  • 2+ years of overall direct sales or account management experience
  • Proven track record of managing a large account base and closing renewals deals with SMB customers
  • Proven track record of excellence in SaaS renewals and expansion where you have exceeded quota, accelerated close rates, and generated growth
  • Success with building relationships and selling to various stakeholders and multiple LOBs
  • Experience in selling SaaS and enterprise cloud applications
  • Excellent communication skills (both for internal and external clients), display self starter mentality, highly organized, and team-oriented business values are essential
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and thrive in a fast paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Manage and drive renewals for your assigned book of accounts
  • Manage a large portfolio of SMB accounts <50K ARR
  • Expand Simpplr’s solutions within new areas of the business including additional products and capabilities
  • Partner with Customer Success to drive customer satisfaction and referenceability as needed
  • Partner with Revenue Operations to process renewals
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process to meet or exceed bookings and revenue goals within the assigned customer portfolio,  in alignment with the company’s core values
  • Build pipeline to ensure successful achievement of ARR targets
  • Create quarterly forecasts against established targets and contribute to weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales cadence meetings
  • Articulate path to closure and key tactical steps for all deals
  • Develop winning proposals encompassing all aspects of Simpplr platform, business case and ROI metrics
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual terms to close sales as required
  • Accurately forecast monthly and quarterly bookings and manage a pipeline
  • Learn, master and apply the playbook and defined sales processes
  • Collaborate with internal resources as part of our team selling approach
