Accountant

Summary

Join Circ, a B Corp company and leader in sustainable fashion technology, as a detail-oriented and strategic Accountant. Reporting to the Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, process improvements, and new project leadership. You will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, implement financial controls, and support budgeting and forecasting. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred) and 3+ years of experience. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
• Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including GL coding, AP, and AR
• Prepare journal entries related to the month-end close, including fixed assets, prepaids, and expense accruals
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations
• Implement and review financial controls
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable tax laws
• Assist with audits and ad hoc reporting requests

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ERP system implementations or scaling accounting operations in a startup setting
