Summary
Join the Localyze Finance team as an Accountant and contribute to building a borderless world. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless and efficient financial operations, reporting to the Director of Finance. Responsibilities include overseeing accounting operations, managing accounts receivable and payable, conducting reconciliations, assisting with month-end closing, and performing ad-hoc tasks. The ideal candidate possesses 2+ years of experience in a similar startup role, a relevant degree, and strong technical accounting knowledge. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role at a startup
- BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant degree
- Experience in assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and statutory reporting, with basic knowledge of prepayments and accruals
- Inter-company experience to manage different entities and handle inquiries from external accountants
- Previous billing experience and knowledge of VAT regulations
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, understanding generally accepted accounting principles and procedures
- An analytical, data-driven, and detail-oriented mindset
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with a focus on attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities
- Overseeing all of our accounting operations, your responsibilities will include
- Billing : Issue invoices and credit notes, handle billing inquiries, and collaborate with the CX team to ensure a smooth billing process
- Accounts Receivable : Reconcile incoming payments, assist with credit control when needed
- Accounts Payable : Manage invoice processing through to payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with approval processes
- Conducting bank and credit card reconciliations for all entities
- Assisting with month-end closing activities and preparation of essential monthly journals
- Performing ad-hoc financial tasks and supporting in automating our financial processes
