Summary

Join GoDaddy's collaborative and driven team responsible for the company's financial reporting integrity. This remote position involves general ledger, journal entries, account reconciliations, and P&L and balance sheet analysis. You will partner with various departments to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance. The ideal candidate possesses technical skills and a proactive, analytical mindset committed to continuous improvement. The role requires preparing and coordinating data, maintaining internal controls, improving processes, and ensuring accurate financial statement presentation. Occasional visits to a GoDaddy office may be required.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a Bachelors or higher degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Previous experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and/or "Big 4" audit experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting theory, US GAAP and related experience, with accounting research and application
  • Analytical skills, with the ability to research and reconcile difficult accounts
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, coordinate with employees across levels and functions, maintain data integrity and internal controls, engage in process improvements and automation, prepare monthly journal entries, and ensure accurate financial statement presentation
  • Align with departments and third parties for data gathering, close general ledger, maintain SOX compliance, participate in documentation and testing, and manage month-end close process including journal entries, subledgers, reconciliations, and account analysis
  • Provide GL accounting team subject matter expertise, support projects, facilitate internal and external financial reporting processes, and maintain strong internal controls
  • Identify and provide solutions for automation and process improvement while ensuring timely, accurate, and detailed completion of daily responsibilities
  • Work with various company levels, maintain financial systems' data integrity, and engage in continuous process improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA designation
  • Experience working for a global company
