Summary
Join our team as a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Analyst! You will support the month-end close process, prepare and post journals, conduct financial analysis, and assist with statutory audits. This remote position requires strong analytical skills and a proven understanding of accounting principles. You will work effectively independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance and a strong understanding of month-end processes. Occasional visits to a GoDaddy office may be required. This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands and is not currently considering candidates in California, Seattle, or NYC.
Requirements
- 2+ years experience in accounting, finance, or a related role
- Strong understanding of month-end processes
- Strong knowledge of accounting theory, US GAAP and related experience, with accounting research and application
- Experience working with general ledger and statutory audits, preferably for international entities
- Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and post month-end journals in accordance with accounting standards and company policies
- Perform detailed analysis of financial statements to ensure accuracy and identify variances
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare, coordinate, and work with employees at various levels and functions of the company to prepare the general ledger for multiple international entities
- Effectively align with appropriate departments and third parties to gather necessary data to close the general ledger
- Support external audit requests and inquiries by providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and provide supporting documentation for statutory audits
- Maintain and improve internal controls compliance for accounting functions and participate in procedure documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to improve the efficiency of accounting operations
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
