Join Syndicate, a leading web3 company, as their Accounting and Operations Manager. You will play a crucial role in establishing the foundation for both business operations and accounting practices as we scale our Metabased Rollups and Transaction Cloud products. This position requires a broad understanding of people operations, business operations, and GL accounting. You will oversee accounting tasks, manage financial reporting, assist with investor relations, and implement best practices for internal controls. Additionally, you will collaborate with the leadership team on go-to-market strategies, track company goals, and manage employee onboarding. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business/Accounting
- 3 - 5 years of progressive accounting and/or operations experience
- Excellent attention to detail skills
- Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and GL accounting
- Strong background in working cross-functionally preferably at a startup
- Experience with both traditional finance tools and crypto-native platforms
- Strong remote communication skills, able to translate complex financial and legal concepts across the organization
- Proactive problem-solver with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of accounting and financial reporting for all Syndicate entities both onshore and offshore, including invoicing and managing relationships with external accounting and tax providers
- Assist in managing Syndicateβs treasuries and investments
- Assist in Investor Relations related matters
- Introduce best practices for internal controls and accounting focused policies
- Work directly with the leadership team to execute all things Go-To-Market, including review of contracts, payments, tax compliance and milestone tracking
- Work closely with the leadership team to track company goals, measure key business metrics, and set cultural norms and rituals
- Coordinate and lead onboarding for new hires and contractors
- Lead the planning of the semi-annual company offsites
- Assist with cap table management
- Adhoc administrative tasks related to business operations, personnel etc
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience working at a web3/crypto company in an operations/accounting role
- Direct experience with corporate taxes including 1099s, K1s and corporate tax filing
- Experience with bringing all accounting, inhouse from a third party vendor
